Katie is a licensed Registered Dietitian with a Masters Degree in Nutrition Science from St. Joseph’s University and her undergraduate is from Penn State University. Katie has over twenty years of experience with clients who are looking to make changes to improve their quality of life! Katie started in clinical dietetics and has instructed numerous weight loss program for Aetna, Montgomery County of Aging, children’s programs at the YMCA and the CHOP early intervention program. She conducts seminars for Corporations in the Philadelphia area and individual counseling for corporate executives onsite.
Katie works with Diamond Nutrition Counseling, providing medical nutrition therapy and counseling to patients in a private setting. She teaches clients to modify behaviors for long term success! Katie works with all populations with an emphasis in adolescent medicine, family medicine and Women’s health. Katie also works with Penn Medicine Behavioral Weight management program which is an ongoing weekly program geared to long term weight management. She is also consulting with the Penn Medicine’s Executive Health Program. Katie gives her patients tools to help them succeed in living a healthier lifestyle, through an emphasis on nutrition education, behavioral management, and exercise. Suzanne Smith: RD, LDN
Suzanne has her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Syracuse University and completed her dietetic training at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester. Suzanne has over 15 years’ experience working in clinical settings in nursing homes and rehabilitation units and ran a successful weight loss clinic for employees through healthy eating and regular exercise, helping to reduce employer health care costs. Suzanne’s long term care experience early in her career shaped her views of what a lifetime of bad habits can do to degrade health. Suzanne also holds a Certificate in Plant-based Nutrition from the Center for Nutrition Studies in Ithaca New York and can assist those interested in transitioning to a whole food, plant based diet.
Suzanne is very excited to join the team at Diamond Nutrition as she brings her specialty of Pediatrics and can help families with picky eaters; teenage athletes; those with food allergies orintolerances along with weight or cholesterol problems to navigate school lunches and busy mealtimes. She also works with adults looking to improve their health by assisting with weight loss, improving blood lipid levels, reducing hypertension and managing diabetes by inspiring her clients to set realistic and attainable goals. She also specializes in assisting new mothers by supporting the nursing process in the early days.

Carey Emmons: RD, LDN
Carey has 15 years’ experience as a Registered Dietitian. Her nutrition philosophy is rooted in a whole-person approach and she truly believes that food is medicine. She creates a partnership with her patients, as well as individualized, actionable nutrition plans to support and guide them towards sustainable lifestyle changes to improve their medical concerns as well as overall health and vitality.
For the past 9 years, Carey has been practicing nutrition counseling and health coaching in the private practice and corporate wellness settings. Prior to her most recent experience, Carey was lead dietitian for the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute’s Nutrition and Wellness Program. Carey’s areas of nutrition focus and interest are in cardiac wellness and related conditions, weight management, women’s health, pre-diabetes/diabetes, sports nutrition, and nutrition for gastrointestinal concerns.
Carey earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from West Chester University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Penn State University. She completed her dietetic internship in the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Carey holds a certificate of training in Adult Weight Management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is currently pursuing a Dietitian Nutrition Coaching Level 1 Certification. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise and holds a 30-hour yin yoga teacher training certificate.

She was a Division 1 lacrosse player at Penn State University, completed the Philadelphia Marathon in 2018, and practices yoga daily.
